CREDAI Pune Best Facilities Awards 2025 Set New Benchmarks

Beyond recognising winners, the CREDAI Pune Best Facilities Awards 2025 continue to drive meaningful transformation within the real estate and construction sector.

By celebrating developers who place labour welfare at the core of their projects, the initiative establishes clear benchmarks for responsible and ethical development.

These efforts contribute to improved productivity, reduced on-site risks, enhanced worker morale, and long-term workforce stability, while transforming labour camps into secure and respectful environments for workers and their families.

The ceremony was graced by Vinoy Kumar Choubey, IPS, Police Commissioner, Pimpri-Chinchwad, as the Chief Guest, who lauded CREDAI Pune’s sustained focus on labour welfare.

Krishnakumar Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director, Kohinoor Group, attended as the Guest of Honour, while Shailendra Pol, Former Additional Commissioner, Labour Department, joined as a Special Invitee and shared insights on best practices and regulatory excellence.

Senior CREDAI Pune leadership, including President Manish Jain; Vice Presidents Arvind Jain and J P Shroff (Vice President & Best Facility Awards Chairman); Sapna Rathi, Convener, Labour Welfare Wing, CREDAI Maharashtra; and Milind Talathi, Convener, Labour Welfare Committee, Pune, were present along with Managing Committee members and CREDAI Secretariat staff.

Their collective presence reinforced the organisation’s unified commitment to prioritising worker wellbeing as a foundation for sustainable industry growth.

Addressing the gathering, Manish Jain, President, CREDAI Pune, said the awards aim to create healthy competition among developers and encourage continuous improvement in labour welfare standards.

He highlighted that better living conditions, medical access, and crèche facilities directly translate into healthier, more motivated workers and improved project quality, while also aligning with the progressive intent of India’s evolving labour codes.

Arvind Jain, Vice President, CREDAI Pune, noted that the initiative began post-Covid in response to labour migration challenges and has steadily grown into a robust programme.

The participation of 105 developers this year, he said, reflects the industry’s recognition that empowered workers lead to better outcomes for projects and cities alike.

Vinoy Kumar Choubey, IPS, praised CREDAI Pune for setting an example in labour camp standards, stating that such initiatives ensure dignity and welfare for the workforce that contributes to urban development.

Shailendra Pol, Former Additional Commissioner, Labour Department, commended Pune developers for consistently raising benchmarks, noting that judging standards have become more rigorous each year due to overall improvement.

He urged associations across Maharashtra to replicate CREDAI Pune’s best practices and emphasised the Labour Department’s role as a facilitator in supporting developers.

J P Shroff, Vice President and Facilities Award Chairman, said the awards stemmed from a collective realisation during the Covid period about the need to improve labour living conditions, adding that many developers have gone beyond expectations in demonstrating commitment and compassion.

Milind Talathi, Convener of the Labour Welfare Committee, highlighted the introduction of the Promising Debutant category and outlined the transparent evaluation process, including site visits and systematic assessments, with a strong focus on hygiene, education, and medical facilities.
